Our Expertise
Meet Robert Donati, PhD
Robert’s research has focused predominantly on the cellular basis of depression, but he has also researched macular degeneration. For the past 19 years, Robert has taught optometry students about systemic human physiology, pathology, and immunology. Over that time, he has developed an interest in the interplay of the GI system with other physiological systems in the body, specifically the immune system and brain, and vice versa. Robert turned that interest into opportunities at several companies where he helped guide the clinical direction of teams focused on probiotics and gut health.
