Mud\Wtr Review
Mud\Wtr was started in 2018 with the idea that there’s a healthier, better way to start your morning than the traditional coffee ritual. This inspired the founder Shane Heath, to come up with a drink that could: (1) Improve physical stamina and performance; (2) Improve mental capacity and function; (3) Increase alertness without dependency; and (4) Improve immunity and overall health. After traveling to India, Shane formulated the original Mud\Wtr formula with chai, mushrooms, and other natural ingredients proven to boost energy levels and immunity and leave you feeling great all day long. Today Mud\Wtr has four different products available, with more in the pipeline to help you achieve specific goals. You can buy the products on the company’s website or on Amazon.
What is Mud\Wtr?
Mud\Wtr brands itself as a coffee alternative, with each serving containing about 1/3-1/4 the amount of caffeine as a cup of joe, claiming to offer an energy boost without the jitters. For some it is considered one of the best-tasting, most nutritious coffee alternatives on the market and is ideal for anybody looking to kick their coffee dependence. However, it may not inspire some avid coffee drinkers to give up their morning joe. The ingredients are USDA-certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, kosher, and vegan. The most popular blend is probably :rise Cacao which would serve as the primary morning coffee replacement. The main ingredients in that blend are:
- Mushrooms: The primary mushrooms are cordyceps, reishi, lions mane and chaga. There are some scientific studies that show increased health benefits, but not many in human studies [1,2,3].
- Spice Blend: This includes turmeric, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves
- Cacao
- Black Tea Powder: Provides the lower dose of caffeine along with the cacao.
- Himalayan Pink Salt

Like coffee, it is an acquired taste and you may have to stick with it for a while for the taste to grow on you and to really experience the health and energy benefits. As with any type of health supplement there may be sensitivities that can be triggered that can cause other health issues so, we recommend that you consult with a doctor or certified nutritionist before consuming. In addition, it can take time and consistency for any supplement to show anticipated results, and overall results can vary from individual to individual.
